Hey Novafuturians!

I really enjoyed this piece on antifascism. It seriously sets the record straight. And the timing couldn’t be more relevant…

Last week in France, the National Assembly held a minute of silence for a neo-Nazi. The guy was part of an ambush against antifascists and got his ass handed to him. Unfortunately he died, but live by the sword, die by the sword. That’s how it goes.

But can you believe this? A country like France, a country that was invaded by the Nazis, a country that has suffered fascist terrorist attacks, where fascists have repeatedly murdered people… and now its elected representatives are paying tribute to a guy whose entire set of values went against everything the Republic supposedly stands for.

So yeah, I’ll say it loud and clear: this world has seriously lost its damn mind!

You’re absolutely right! A lot of us were shocked by this. But how can people be so dumb to adopt such a disgusting ideology. We’re really going through a very tough time for antifascism. And still… we’re not the worst off because we know how to stand our ground. It’s the minorities who are really getting hit hard. And on top of that the police is full of fascists!

Switching topics but I’m realizing we actually need to bring back the mention feature. We thought it wasn’t necessary but it is. It’s going to require some changes to NovaFlow and NovaFeed but it’s not a huge job. However you’ll have to wait a bit because I’m diving back into PeerBox full time this week.

Also another thing… it would be great to create a French NovaFlow in the “Local Collectives” section so we can discuss our French issues in French. We could also set up NovaFlows for other countries. We’ll talk it over with Emmanuel and get that going. In the meantime, no pasaran comrade!

These are really great suggestions. We’ll get it done. Right now I’m working on version 8.6 of the site. More big improvements on the engine. There’s also the PeerBox launch to prepare. So the new NovaFlows will probably be more of a next week thing. As for adding mentions to NovaFlow that’s more of a mission for you since you’re the one who coded that program. On my end I can hook it up to the NovaFeed. By the end of the week it’ll be in place. We’ll be able to mention each other and get a notification in the header 🙂
