Do our blogs have an external address like novafuture.org/blogname? I have my own domain I’d like to redirect to my blog here.

Good question. Actually, you’d need a direct URL for your blog. Oops! And it’s true, we hadn’t thought of that. But it’s not difficult to code. I’ll work on it today and I’ll make you a nice blog address with a homepage that lists all your blog posts, maybe with some sorting by category. I’ll do that, give you the address as soon as it’s ready, and you can tell me if it suits you or if you see any points for improvement.

Wow, that was actually a huge update behind the scenes! The Blog program just moved to version 1.9.8 – and it all started with your post! 🙂

First, we realized we had made a mistake from the very beginning with blog post URLs. That’s now fixed, and it makes a real difference – both for clarity and for SEO. For example, your post URL used to look like this:
https://novafuture.org/hello-world/

From now on it looks like this:
https://novafuture.org/blog/mjbdiver/fiction/hello-world/

Much cleaner, and about 10x better for search engines.

We also created a dedicated Home page for individual blogs. Your blog home is now live at:
https://novafuture.org/blog/mjbdiver/

But we didn’t stop there! 🙂

If you go to your publishing interface, you’ll find a new “Settings” tab. From there you can choose a custom title for your blog – it will automatically appear as the H1 on your blog home page and will be picked up by search engines instead of the default title.

And there’s more! At the bottom of the post editor, you’ll now find a “Feature this post” option. Check it and save – that post will automatically appear in a Featured section at the top of your blog home. Uncheck it and save to remove it. You’re in full control.

We also integrated all these changes into our SEO engine and added several improvements to make it even more effective for blogs specifically.

One last thing – the button in the author block at the bottom of your posts now links directly to your blog instead of your profile.

If you spot anything else that could be improved, don’t hesitate to let us know! 🙂

When I load my blog, it shows my oldest post first. Can you change the order so my newest post appears first?

Actually, the order is fine. You might think it appears first overall, but look at it by category. Your oldest article appears first in its “Fiction” category… If you post another article in fiction, it will become second in fiction. Then you have your poetry category where everything is well organized. And on top of all that, you have the “Featured” function to highlight what you want. Take a look and let me know 🙂
